The spaces are available 24 hours on all days. You can enter/exit this car park multiple times throughout the duration of your booking.

    This is not a tidy, well looked after space. There appears not to be any security in place. However it is not a hazard for vehicles being parked in daylight. Cannot comment on lighting or safety after dark. However, this is a cheap space to reserve and only a 10 minute walk to the North bank of the Tyne over the old swing bridge, to reach the riverside market on a Sunday. If able to park out of town or based outside the city near to a Metro stn it is still probably cheaper if to get a return fare into town though. Do look out carefully for the entrance if you choose this space. It is tucked away, very steep and if you miss it its a five minute round robin to reach it again!!!

    I didn't even realise this was still open. There are literally trees growing in it because it has nor been maintained. Car was safe for the time I left it but with no lighting I would not feel comfortable parking here if I needed to stay after dark as there is no longer lighting.

    I use this car park a couple of times a week through the day. I wouldn't feel safe using it at night....it's too isolated. It would be good if it could be cleaned up a bit - after any but rain there's a big dirty puddle at the entrance caused by blocked drains and you have to drive through, and it's full of huge weeds....looks very uncared for.

    Not great at all, car park had no signage coming in ( was only aware of it from using it years ago) very overgrown weeds on entrance and looked unkempt, plus side, plenty parking spaces! Signage misleading, one sign pay on entry, another pay on exit! Machine clearly hadn't worked for years,and as I didn't have the specific app had to use the QR code ( not everyone will be able to do this, ) and had to just put in rough time of arrival etc, so hoping I don't incur a fine, I've taken numerous photos of mixed signage as evidence incase of this situation.

    Great app. Simple to book it took me about a minute. It gave me a few different options for parking and prices. The app also gives you directions . I will definitely be using this app in the future.

    The interchange car park is in the perfect spot for accessing the metro system, buses and, Gateshead centre. It’s not for beginners though, the access ramp being insanely steep and getting out into the busy traffic is tricky, too. Neither of the two payment machines were working and the place looks unloved with big weeds growing out of the cracked concrete. I found the car park almost empty on a Saturday morning in March. Does not look inviting at all but, is very handy.
